Who am I and what do I do

My name is Ashkan. I am a resident of Los Angeles, CA, United States. I have a company called IT Chair which focuses on Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing. My main goal by creating this blog is to tell you all my secrets and how I do what I do. Before I do that though, in this post I am going to talk a little about myself and what I do so you know I am not a newbie to this industry.

I started web designing when I was 11 years old. I started using websites that offered free web hosting and launched websites about my own childish interests and etc. After a while of doing that I realized there was a lot more that I could do but I needed to expand my knowledge more and explore more things that just free web hosting websites like geocities, or other websites like tripod, lycos, excite and etc.

My explorations lead me to software like frontpage, dreamweaver and etc. but again, I realized I liked programming and I wanted to hand-code my websites. In the meanwhile, I started making website for my family members' business and etc. In 2004, I launched a website under www.RugIdea.com. This website turned out to be a huge success.

I took many Microsoft Classes and learned ASP.NET and C# programming. After a long time of developing websites, I discovered my love for Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. I did a lot of SEO for RugIdea.com and I needed to learn more and more about SEO and etc.

I have worked for many different companies, of all sizes. I worked for these companies, mostly as a web developer and as a Internet and Online Marketer for a few of them.

I started my own company because I realized I could do so much more with my passion for Search Engine Optimization and I could do things better, more efficiently, and cheaper. Soon, I realized that I could not run a whole business all by myself and the amount of positive feedback and response that I got from my clients were overwhelming. I ended up hiring 5 people after a few months of working in the industry.

My knowledge is from working in the industry, talking to other professionals, reading books, blogs, websites, taking classes, and spending days and nights staring out the screen and figuring things out by trial and error.

Now I am at a point that I am writing a book about SEO and Internet Marketing. I love teaching and sharing what I know with others.
