Local/Regional Search Engine Optimization/Marketing

Local (regional) Search Engine Optimization and Marketing is when we have a local or regional (geographical) target. For example, let's say you have a rug cleaning business in Los Angeles, CA and you would like to market your services online so people who are looking for such services are able to find you and give you business.

If someone from Manhattan, New York finds your website and calls you, there is not much benefit you can gain from that. Carpet cleaning services are local services unless you are a chain-company that has branches in different parts of the world.

This is where Local or regional SEO comes in. Our main targeted keywords for our example website should be phrases like:You may wan to target other neighboring cities or you may even want to target a bigger geographical area like the U.S. or Canada.

We market our own website for Los Angeles. So one of our main target key-phrase would be "Search Engine Optimization Los Angeles". If someone Googles such a phrase they will end up on the following page:
